The Japanese for bear is “熊” or “kuma”.
Here are some other animals I know:

Cat — “Neko” — “猫”
Bird — “Tori” — “鳥”
Dog — “Inu” — “犬”
Fish — “Sakana” — “魚”
Cow — “Ushi: — “牛”
Sheep — “Hitsuji” — “羊”
Monkey — “Saru” — “サル”
